This will be my first interview talking to a sufferer/survivor of domestic abuse. Abuse can take many forms and have many levels, from physical to mental, from the destruction of a persons mental wellbeing to financially bankrupting them. Em May is a good friend of mine and has come forward to be the first to share her story of an abusive relationship.
Raising awareness of the reality of what goes on for men and women who have suffered at the hands of an abusive partner I believe is a key part of not only showing others that they are not alone, but to give a heads up on what the signs of a potential abuser may be.
