In the year late 2000's AD, a younger but just as bald and bearded Mr Von Beardingham embarked upon a venture down a musical road he had never trodden before...a road to writing his own music.
Long story short and several years later after an ep release of the same title, the album 'Light years from destiny' was birthed under the guise the 'Guardians of Andromeda'.
After some gigs, festival shows and positive reviews, a new album began to be written and demoed. Sadly due to life and the various paths people end up treading; the band was put on hiatus and has been to this very day. But...with all the musicians involved in the last incarnation of the bands line-up being firm friends who have played over the years in various guises, we decided that we would all get together for a catch up and listen to the album live on stream and talk about it's recording, inspiration and all the tales that go along with it.
Any excuse for all four buddies to meet and talk about musical days gone by! If you have never heard of the band Guardians of Andromeda, this is the perfect time to tune in and find out about a band that was a complete labour of love for me.
