“I started singing age 5 in a rock and pop choir called ‘choirwood’ , this is when I first met my bff and singing superstar Lauren Byrne, we used to perform all over Essex and even some prestigious gigs such as Joseph in the west end, GMTV and many others. I started singing on my own when I was 16 and entered a little local talent contest (again, with miss Byrne ) and whilst I didn’t win, because my nerves were outrageous - the organiser, ray durrant mentored me. He soon put me in touch with a chap called tom sayer and I became his duo partner. Tom was amazing, because he taught me it wasn’t just about singing. It was about reading an audience, entertaining and knowing how to engage. He was marvellous.
It wasn’t long before I started hankering after a band. After a few misfires, frog on a rocket came to fruition and it’s been a marvellous 8 years. A few changes as peoples lives take routes unexpectedly, but always amazing people and talent. I’ve also dabbled with session singing, and have sung jingles for tv and radio. I also was up for Christmas number 1 a few years ago, after a comedy vocal I had done for a social media influence called Simon Harris, hit a million views in one weekend. We’ve enjoyed a lot of other songs since then, probably racking up about 16 million views in total”.
Annie is completely beloved by all who know her. Not only for her impressive singing skills, but because of the amazing personality that backs it up. Always fun and beautifully unpredictable, Annie is a true treasure of a guest to have on xx
