“In the beginning it was old theatre singers, like Katherine Jenkins, Hayley Westenra, Emmy Rossum. Until I hit my teens hit and I went through an “emo phase”, listening to somewhat heavier things like Evanescence and Nightwish then all of a sudden discovering symphonic metal and realising even women with soft voices can rock! I started singing when I was 11, mainly theatre songs, opera and anything that sounded “cute”, taking my musical tastes from my mother, then being introduced to heavier bands by my older brother, and by the time I turned 16 I was a full-on little emo/metalhead kid. Started pursuing rock and heavier music styles and taking lessons to learn how to kick out a power vocal and I’ve never looked back since. Band: Joined The Near Mrs in June 2022 “

I call Katie the pintsized powerhouse, because even though she may be tiny, she is a belter and can hit notes i can only dream of! lol. I cant wait to get her in the studio and see what she knocks out the park :)
